Sasha Pieterse was born in Johannesburg, South Africa on February 17th, 1996 and emigrated over to the United States when she was 3 years old. She started in the business at the age of 4 1/2 working on commercials and print work. At 6 years old, Sasha made her first appearence on Television, co-starring as “Buffy” on The WB comedy series “Family Affair” (2002), opposite Gary Cole. In 2003, a year into her career Sasha won a Young Artist Award for Best Performance in TV series. In 2004, She made a guest appearance in “Stargate SG1″ and it wasn’t long before she booked 2 episodes in the TV Series, “Wanted” in 2005. She started to become a really famous actress when she played in “House M.D.” portraying a young girl named Andie with terminal cancer. Her tremendous performance was considered for a daytime Emmy in 2005. Sasha continued her career; she appeared in her first film The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl cast as Marissa the “Ice Princess”. Pieterse has done numerous television commercials including long-running national spots for “Nesquick” and “Firestone Tires”. She was featured on a billboard for “Supercuts” that appeared throughout the country then she sang and modeled in the Macy’s Passport Fashion Show, performing throughout California. During 2006 she filmed for a feature starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, The Air I Breathe and she landed a lead in a Hallmark Hall of Fame Movie as Maggie in Claire, both were released in 2007. Later that year she appeared as the Goth Girl in Jessica Albas, Good Luck Chuck, and walked the Blue carpet at the Premiere in September 2007 with gorgeous style getting the paparazzi talking, We’ve watched Sasha grow from a little girl into a mature teen. During 2007 and 2008 she spent time living life as a kid, Though she still booked 2 guest roles, one in CSI Miami and a 2009 Release of an guest appearance in Without a Trace. Sasha supports many charities including the Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times, making regular appearances with friends and costars to Carnivals and Signings. 2010 brings Sasha back onto our TV screens, with a reoccurring role as Amanda on the hit show Heroes. In 2009 Pieterse was cast as Alison DiLaurentis in the TV series Pretty Little Liars based on the book series by Sara Shepard. Being only 14 at the time, she is the youngest actress on the show, all her co-stars being in their early to mid 20s.
